Max Fincham voices Ricky Zoom, a crimson rescue motorcycle who patrols the pastel town of Wheelford with three two-wheeled friends: cautious Loop, inventive Scootio and music-mad DJ. Each 11-minute segment pairs playground stunts with low-stakes rescues, folding gentle lessons about teamwork into races across the sports track and stunt park.
The Franco-British production, created by Alexander Bar and directed by Romain Villemaine and Franck Michel, rolled out 104 segments across two seasons between June 2019 and late 2020. A true coproduction, it was animated by TeamTO in France, Maga in Italy and Youku Kids in China, with eOne handling global distribution and Fabrice Aboulker supplying the jaunty score.
Hasbro’s $3.8 billion acquisition of Entertainment One in December 2019 folded the property into the toy giant’s preschool slate, though merchandise never hit the heights of Peppa Pig. After the second season finished its U.S. run on Nickelodeon in early 2021, the show quietly idled: no further episodes were ordered and the official website now redirects to a generic eOne kids portal.
