Picking up just six months after the tragic events of A Bouquet of Barbed Wire, this sequel finds the Manson family still reeling. Frank Finlay returns as Peter Manson, a man completely unable to move past the death of his daughter, Prue, who died during childbirth. While Peter is drowning in his own grief, his son in law Gavin, played by James Aubrey, is finding the reality of being a single father to a newborn baby almost impossible to handle.
The family dynamic is a mess of secrets and betrayals. While Peter keeps up his long running relationship with his secretary Sarah, his wife Cassie has started a shocking affair with Gavin. The tension builds as these messy personal lives collide, making it only a matter of time before everything blows up in their faces. It is a heavy look at a group of people bound together by shared loss and some very questionable choices. Sheila Allen and Deborah Grant lead the supporting cast through a series of increasingly uncomfortable confrontations as the truth about their various flings starts to leak out.
