When the matriarch of a prominent family is murdered in her home on the Isle of Harris, her four adult children return to the Hebrides to face their father and their own pasts. A moody and atmospheric "Gaelic Noir" that uses the stark beauty of the Scottish islands to great effect. The mystery is well-constructed, but the real strength lies in the family dynamics and the clash between tradition and modern life.
It is a landmark production for Gaelic-language broadcasting, boasting high production values and a strong ensemble cast. The slow-burn narrative rewards patience, weaving a complex tale of secrets and local history into a very strong crime drama.
