A bored and grieving mother finds a new best friend at the school gates, sparking a relationship that quickly reveals a web of lies, trauma, and dark secrets. An inventive and tonally adventurous blend of domestic comedy and psychological thriller that keeps the viewer constantly off-balance. The chemistry between the two leads is excellent, grounding the increasingly wild plot twists in a recognizable world of school runs and wine-soaked afternoons.
It manages to be genuinely funny while exploring themes of guilt and paranoia with surprising darkness. A sharp, modern piece of storytelling that uses the trappings of the "mummy comedy" to deliver something much more sinister.
